George Watsky has come a long way from his Pale Kid Raps Fast days, which saw him turn a single viral video into YouTube fame and a few years later, into a legitimate music career. In fact, just yesterday he released his third full-length album, All You Can Do. The LP features 16 tracks and an unconventional (as far as hip hop goes) front cover that might confuse people at first glance. In case you're wondering. that's actually an old photograph of George's father, poet Paul Watsky, posing with his cat. According to Watsky, All You Can Do, is actually a tribute to his parents. This might also explain why we see him hanging out with his mother in the recent music video for the album's title track. Nevertheless, this new project contains a wide variety of styles ranging from energetic, rock-infused tracks like, Bet Against Me, to the more laid-back, boom bap-influenced songs like, Boomerang. Be sure to listen to the final track, Cannonball, which finds Watsky tapping into a poetic side that seems to run in the family.
Preview and purchase, All You Can Do, on iTunes and take a look at the newly released music video for the single, Never Let It Die.
